Refund and Return Policy

At Dope Uncle, we want you to be 100% “stoked” with your purchase. However, since our kits often contain specialized tools and customized items, we have a clear set of rules to ensure fairness for both you and us.


1. 14-Day Return Window

You have 14 calendar days from the date you received your item to request a return. To be eligible, your item must be:

  • Unused and in the same condition that you received it.

  • In the original packaging (the “Dope Uncle” branded box).

  • Accompanied by the receipt or proof of purchase.

2. Personalized & Custom Items

Please Note: Any items that have been laser-engraved, personalized, or custom-made (e.g., a flask with a specific name or a knife with custom initials) are Non-Refundable and cannot be exchanged.

  • The only exception is if we made a spelling error that differs from your order instructions, or if the product arrives physically broken.

3. Damaged or Defective Items (The “Broken on Arrival” Guarantee)

We pack our kits to survive a rough journey, but we know couriers can be “un-dope” sometimes.

  • Report it Fast: If your glass, flask, or tool arrives damaged, you must email [email protected] within 48 hours of delivery.

  • Evidence Required: You must include high-quality photos of the damaged item and the condition of the outer shipping box.

  • Our Fix: If the damage is verified, we will either send you a replacement for the specific broken item or issue a partial refund for that component of the kit at no extra cost to you.

4. Non-Returnable Items

For health, safety, and legal reasons, we cannot accept returns on:

  • Used multi-tools or knives (unless there is a mechanical manufacturing defect).

  • Any perishable items included in kits (e.g., biltong spices or coffee beans).

  • Gift cards.

5. The Return Process

  1. Request: Email [email protected] with your order number and reason for return.

  2. Approval: We will send you a Return Authorization and the return shipping address.

  3. Shipping: You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. We recommend using a trackable courier service (like The Courier Guy or PostNet), as we cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

6. Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

  • Approved: Your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment (PayFast, Yoco, etc.) within 7–10 business days.

  • Partial Refunds: We reserve the right to grant only partial refunds for items not in their original condition or items returned more than 14 days after delivery.

7. Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange an un-personalized item for the same thing (e.g., you want a different color flask), you will be responsible for the “to-and-from” courier fees.
